Hi all,
Anyone aboard knowledgeable about late 60's - early 70's Gerber knives?
Say a feller has a cordura-sheathed Gerber Mk I with a SN of S6202S?
I know that the last S = Stainless steel. The first S looks exactly like the last S, so I'm entirely confidant that it is an 'S' and not another character.
According to this site, Vintage Gerber Knives - Mark1 & Mark2 Series, the only thing I can nail down is 1970-1974 production?
Was wondering if someone could nail down the year of manufacture and the value of the knife/sheath combo?
If someone here's a member of Blade Forums and would be so kind as to re-post my question/s, that'd be fantastic. I'd just rather not subscribe to another board...
Thanks!

Next show, the bigname knife dealer had 2 Gerber boot knives and wanted. And the serial number on the other.and the black leather sheath. They were a presentation knife for both Sigma and the Recondo school in Nha Trang as well as tied to some legendary SF figures like Msgt. Jerry 'Mad Dog' Shriver. If you search for 'Gerber MKII serial numbers' you'll find a chart that gives you not only production dates but also a chart of the production changes.
